Welcome to the Pearl of Africa! Upon your arrival at Entebbe Airport, a local representative will greet you and escort you to your hotel. You will be transported by car to your hotel for check in. Depending on your arrival time, you can opt for relaxation while at the hotel and dinner.

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey south to Fort Portal, with a packed lunch to enjoy along the way. Fort Portal lies in the shadow of the legendary ‘Mountains of the Moon’ and is renowned for its numerous tea plantations. You will then proceed to Kibale National Park, arriving at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge in time for dinner and an overnight stay.

Kibale Forest National Park, located in South Uganda, is a vast and biodiverse sanctuary known as the “Primate Paradise.” It boasts one of the highest varieties and concentrations of primates in Africa, including our close relatives, the Chimpanzee, as well as Red Colobus Monkeys, Vervet Monkeys, L’Hoest’s Monkeys, Black-and-White Colobus, and Olive Baboons.

In addition, the park is home to a rich diversity of birds, forest elephants (smaller and hairier than their savannah counterparts), and much more.

Today, the forest invites you to embark on an extraordinary chimpanzee tracking adventure.

Introduction to Chimpanzee Tracking…
After a pre-tracking briefing, you'll head to the trailhead, either on foot or by vehicle, to begin an unforgettable journey following the habituated family of chimpanzees.

Along the way, your guide will captivate you with fascinating stories and facts about the forest and its other inhabitants, including various primates, birds, and larger mammals. Once you spot the chimpanzees, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat as they go about their daily lives—feeding, playing, grooming, caring for their young, and communicating with howls and screeches.

After this remarkable experience, you'll return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a guided nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland.

Later, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, you will set off for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, the sanctuary of the endangered mountain gorillas. Along the way, you'll traverse the vast savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you'll have the opportunity to search for the famous tree-climbing lions.

Enjoy a picnic lunch en route before arriving at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you'll spend the night deep in the heart of the African jungle.

Welcome to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park…
This National Park is the refuge of the rare and critically endangered Mountain Gorillas (Gorilla beringei beringei). Located on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley in southwestern Uganda, the park spans a wide altitude range from 1,160m to 2,600m.

The forest, dating back to the ice ages, is one of Uganda’s oldest and most ecologically diverse, with nearly 400 plant species, 350 bird species including 23 Albertine Rift endemics, and 120 mammal species.

Today, you will rise early in preparation for the highlight of your safari—an unforgettable encounter with the Gentle Giants! After breakfast, you will be transferred to the National Park offices, where you’ll be assigned to a gorilla family in a group of 8, along with a gorilla tracking guide.

Following a pre-tracking briefing, during which your guide will provide an overview of the gorillas, details about your assigned gorilla family, and important safety precautions, you will head to the trailhead to begin this thrilling adventure.

The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours, involving steep and occasionally muddy terrain, with potential rain overhead. While it can be challenging and requires a moderate level of fitness, the exhilarating moment of coming face to face with a Mountain Gorilla silverback is well worth the effort!

After your encounter, you will hike back to base, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

After breakfast, you'll leave the dense forest of Bwindi and journey to Lake Mburo National Park. As you enter the park, you’re likely to spot some wildlife along the way. After checking in, you'll embark on a boat ride on the lake, where you can observe the abundant birdlife and numerous hippos cooling off in the water. Following an early dinner, you have the option (for an additional fee) to go on a night game drive. This special 2-3 hour drive offers a great chance to spot the elusive leopard and other nocturnal animals.

Lake Mburo National Park is one of the few parks in Uganda where you can continue watching wildlife after sunset. A night game drive, typically lasting 2-3 hours, offers a thrilling experience and a unique twist on regular game drives, giving you the opportunity to search for animals that are not easily seen during the day, such as bush pigs, genet cats, and white-tailed mongoose. The elusive leopards and spotted hyenas are also best spotted at night.

Start your day early with a bush walk guided by a ranger. This on-foot safari will allow you to observe the smaller, often overlooked details of the wilderness and usually brings you closer to the wildlife than a vehicle safari.

Afterward, return to the lodge for breakfast. Then, with a game drive on your way out, you'll depart the protected area and head back toward the capital city. Along the way, you'll stop at the Equator for lunch, photos, and souvenir shopping.

You'll arrive in Entebbe late in the afternoon, just in time to connect with your flight back home.
