Upon arriving at Ngamba Island, you’ll be welcomed by the Monitor lizards and about 20 species of birds, like the weaver birds that loiter along the shores. Then, go to the visitors’ centre to learn about the Ngamba Sanctuary project and its history before enjoying your lunch on the Island. This preserve is home to 52 chimpanzees, which you can interact with in their natural habitat; see them feed at 2:00 pm and watch them play with each other.
