The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is situated on the edge of the Rift Valley in southwest Uganda. One of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, dating back more than 25,000 years, and home to around 400 different plant species protects the mist-covered mountains.
The Par’s proud is its name which has the phrase ‘impenetrable’! Why is it called impenetrable? Is there a myth behind it? There are more stories than I can wrote her on the myth behind the word impenetrable.

More significantly, this “impenetrable forest” is a home to more than three hundred and twenty mountain gorillas
When we talk about the still existing gorilla population of the world, this number is almost half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups that can be observed by tourists. More than half of the mountain gorillas in the world live in Bwindi. Actually, this area is home to more than 300 mountain gorillas.

Additional 120 mammals are also protected in this naturally diverse area, including several primate species including baboons and chimpanzees, elephants, and antelopes.
Apart from the animals, mammals and others, Bwindi impenetrable boasts of about 350 bird species within its confines. This is more than an adventurous person can ask for. Here flies the excitement of avian life!
